Our expertise in this area can maximize efficiency, reduce O&M costs, and increase profits from the sale of wallboard quality gypsum. Whether it is an open limestone storage area, powdered limestone storage silos and unloading equipment, or alternative gypsum storage areas which eliminate moisture content and contaminates (e.g. dust, dirt, etc.) which result in significantly reduced gypsum quality, Steag can provide the know-how required.

Our reagent and gypsum design, engineering and consulting services include:

• Barge, rail and truck unloading and transfer stations
• Storage buildings, tanks, and silos
• Conveyor systems (pneumatic and belt systems)
• Material preparation systems
• Injection grids, pipes and nozzles

Powdered reagents delivered by rail are pneumatically conveyed to silos.

Indoor storage is preferred for wallboard quality gypsum.
