As power generation plant needs evolved, Evonik Steag was able to draw on its wealth of experience to install new FGD systems and retrofit old systems successfully in a variety of arrangements even when there were serious space restrictions.  With innovative and creating thinking outside the box, Evonik Steag has developed the expertise to engineer multiple unit designs.

 

5 FD-fans feed 5 boilers and push the flue gas into 5 retrofitted high-dust SCRs. 2 ID-fans pull the flue gas through 2 parallel APC trains and discharge it into a single common stack. The pressure in the combustion furnace is controlled by the FD-fans
